Our primary concern for this entry-level guitar is playability and stability, so we have carefully selected the wood and parts. Even though we have adjusted the string height to lower the action, if you desire an even lower string height, you can sand the bone nut. The bone nut provides better string vibration and is cleaner and smoother than the plastic nut found on cheaper guitars after sanding.
The fretboard is genuine rosewood, not the laminated rosewood used on cheaper guitars. Genuine rosewood can grip the frets well and does not change in wet or dry conditions. It is also very smooth and flat after being properly oiled and maintained.
The body is made of phoenix wood, which is lighter than most other wood species, making it better suited for beginners. Phoenix wood also has a beautiful grain and produces a bright sound.
The neck is made of well-selected maple that has been thoroughly dried and is highly stable. The bolt-on neck joint design allows for easy adjustments to the string angle and action, which is helpful for players who want to customize their setup.
Even with the adjustments made to the string height and the careful selection of materials, we understand that some players may still prefer a lower string action. To accommodate this preference, we have included instructions on how to sand the bone nut to further lower the string height.
